Work method for Disease Classification
All of our
articles are described from the standpoint of
disease classification. You will come across
this phrase many times on our website. The
biggest difference in the way medication is
prescribed, you will find clearly explained
under the button “Disease Classification”. When
we dissect the flower displayed above, we come
to various flower petals, all of which represent
a different form of disease. Samuel Hahnemann
dealt with diseases, as described in his book
“Chronic Diseases”, according to which we can
make the following distinction:
Hereditary Diseases
Those diseases that occur in the ancestry, which
we might be genetically burdened with, belong
here. There is a connection to our constitution,
because it is passed on genetically and because
of that, the resultant disease comes from the
inside. “It’s in our genes.....”
Iatrogenic Diseases
In this flower petal, the usage of medication
and the vaccinations that someone has received
are placed.
Incidents
Here we are dealing with our biography. What
have we experienced in our life and what kind of
impact has that made? Which influences shaped us
and possibly left some traces behind? Here we
are also dealing with a stimulus coming from
outside, it happens to us… Grandfather passes
away, baby sister gets very sick, husband has a
girlfriend or wife has a boyfriend and wants a
divorce. In other words, circumstances on which
we can exert no influence...
Acute Miasmatical
The diseases in this flower petal usually run
severely. The patient has pneumonia, a gallstone
attack, hay fever, migraine, enterocolitis,
bladder infection etc. At that moment, someone
is very sick. It is an illness coming from
within, often being triggered by an incident, a
stimulus coming from outside. The Birch is
flowering and a time of hay fever commences. We
catch a cold and develop pneumonia. Grandfather
passes away and the daughter sinks into despair.
Spouse is fired and slips into a burn-out
situation.
Endogenous problems always point towards a
constitutional problem. This means that
someone’s constitution (the physical condition)
is not able to give an adequate response to an
outside stimulus. Grandmother catches the
flu-virus. She is advanced in her age and no
longer as fit and agile as she used to be,
catches the flu and subsequently develops
pneumonia.
Due to her constitutional weakness, the
pneumonia can turn out to be fatal for her.
Epidemic diseases (in-between-diseases)
In this flower petal you will find those
diseases that are transmitted through an outside
source; the flu, Legionella, SARS, Measles,
Mumps, and others. If we are healthy, we are
perfectly capable to go through these diseases
without as much as one complication. The
infection and the undergoing of the disease will
stay nicely locked in this flower petal without
disrupting our constitution and without putting
us in a serious state of disease.
Sycosis
Here we will only find information when someone
has been infected with Gonorrheae at one point
in his or her life. The infection is exogenous
and straightforward to treat. When antibiotics
have been used to suppress the symptoms that are
caused by this disease, the disease will connect
to the constitution and become an endogenous
problem. There could also have been an infection
with Gonorrheae by one of the ancestors. This is
then always transmitted to the next generation.
Again, this is then classified as an endogenous
problem, because we are born with the after
effects of grandfather’s or grandmother’s
infection.
Syphilis
Inside this flower petal, a contamination with
the sexual transmitted disease syphilis has
occurred. The same applies to this disease as
mentioned above for Sycosis. It is very easy to
treat after the first symptom is displayed. The
treatment will take longer when the disease has
already been suppressed (antibiotics).
Psora (constitutional)
We are born with our own body, our own genetic
burden, possibilities and impossibilities,
qualities and weaknesses and the sum of these,
comprises our constitution. Our life rises or
falls depending on our physical and our
mental/emotional condition. The trick is to
ensure that an optimal balance is reached. An
optimal action-reaction pattern, which can
eliminate the disruptive outside influences and
keep our immune system awake and alert.
This ensures that every form of disease can stay
in his own flower petal and can heal, without
undermining our constitutional condition. This
prevents that someone could end up in an acute
miasmatical situation. At the same time, all
diseases can slowly, but surely be cleared.
After all, the only weapon we have to conquer
diseases, is our health; to ensure our
constitution is as strong as possible.
This is
how it was described by Hahnemann.
